GETTING TO VOLGOGRAD
Most of our guests arrive from Moscow. The number of daily flights varies depending on the season but there are normally 4-5 flights a day and at least two trains to take you to/from Volgograd.. The duration of the flights is about 2 hours. The overnight trains will take you to/from Volgograd in 20-24 hours.
Volgograd today is a
modern city with a population of
people. The Volga-Don Canal makes the
city a big river port connecting five seas: the Caspian, Baltic , White,
Black and the Sea of Azov .
The city centre is a
concentration of theatres, museums, hotels , shopping centres, and colleges.
Volgograd is a big industrial and traffic centre with its own train stations
The story of
Stalingrad is very controversial and has been interpreted in many ways for
or commercial reasons.
